Good morning, Queen Creek. The triple digits are here for the duration, which turns the next few weeks into early-hike-and-afternoon-pool season. Here's where to land this weekend and into next week.

  • 🏊 Family Swim is open at the Queen Creek Aquatic Center. Water slides, a lazy river, and a zero-depth pool. Residents only, day pass or membership required.
  • 🫒 The Olive Mill hosts its Corn Roast on June 19. Street corn, watermelon, and live music, 5 PM to 9 PM.
  • 🦖 Dinosaur programs run all week at the Queen Creek Library. Cardboard builds, fossil crafts, and Jungle Jill, June 9 and 10.
  • 🏛️ The town wants resident input on its General Plan. A hands-on workshop shapes Queen Creek's long-range growth map.
  • 🐂 The QCUSD governing board meets June 16. Study session at 4:30 PM, regular session at 6 PM.

Family Swim is back for the summer

The Queen Creek Aquatic Center reopened Family Swim hours on May 23, which makes it the town's default plan for a hot Saturday afternoon.

Key facts:

  • Where: Queen Creek Aquatic Center, alongside the Recreation Center.
  • Who: Town of Queen Creek residents.
  • Cost: A membership or a day pass, which also covers the Recreation Center.
  • What's in the water: water slides, a lazy river, and a zero-depth entry pool for the little ones.

The residents-only rule is the catch worth knowing before you load the car. Bring proof of residency the first time, and the day pass gets the whole family in for both the pool and the rec floor. Details.
